Terms of use

The rules for using Brewdex. Plain language on purpose.

Last updated 24 Sept 2026

The service

Brewdex shows labour-market information built from licensed and public sources, and helps students arrange short conversations with practitioners who have opted in. It is free for students.

Market numbers describe job ads and official statistics. They are information, not career, financial or migration advice.

Your account

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Practitioners must verify where they work and keep their card accurate.

Coffee chats

Chats are voluntary conversations between adults. Practitioners are not employees of Brewdex and do not speak for their employers. Nobody is obliged to accept a request, and declining needs no reason.

Everyone follows the code of conduct and the no-show rules.

What you write

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to store it and show it to the person you send it to, only to run the service.

Suspension and closing accounts

We may pause or close accounts that break these terms or the code of conduct. You can close your account at any time from settings.

Our responsibility

We work to keep the information accurate and the service available, but we can’t guarantee either. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect.
