The 72-hour reply window
A practitioner has up to 72 hours to accept, suggest another time or decline. The window also closes 12 hours before the requested time so nobody is left hanging.
If there is no reply, the request lapses without any penalty and we quietly pass it to the next suitable person. Students are never told who declined or who didn’t reply.
Cancelling
- A student can withdraw a request at any time before it is accepted.
- Either side can cancel an accepted chat up to 24 hours before it starts. It doesn’t count against anyone.
- If a practitioner cancels, the student’s request is passed to someone else automatically.
Both sides confirm
After the chat, each side confirms with one click whether it happened. A student’s debrief vote counts as confirming it happened.
If one side confirms and the other says nothing for 7 days, the chat is recorded as completed.
Two no-shows in 30 days
- If someone is marked absent twice within 30 days, matching pauses for 30 days: practitioners are not matched with new students, and students can’t send new requests.
- Chats already booked are not affected.
- No score about you is ever shown to anyone. These records are used only for this rule and are removed after 12 months.
If you disagree
If you think a no-show was recorded by mistake, report it from the chat page and a person will review it.
